About Us

St. Agnes:  A Comprehensive Long-Term Healthcare Facility

In answer to the growing need of the St. Martin Parish area for quality care for the senior community, St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehabilitation was established in 1984 by Co-Founders Johnny Raymond (deceased) and Paul Hardy, current President.

St. Agnes is a 128-bed facility staffed with hard-working professionals, who provide the quality care every resident deserves. Under the "St. Agnes Cares" banner, residents thrive in an efficiently run, quality care center where they achieve their highest possible level of physical, psycho-social and spiritual potential, The St. Agnes staff is always working to protect and enhance the dignity of our residents.

We seek to continually improve the much needed services which we provide.

About Our Mission

St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a long-term care facility that specializes in skilled care, rehabilitation services, and special units, to provide a continuum of care.  It is the mission of St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center to provide quality of life and quality of care to residents who come to us for long-term residential or short-term rehabilitative care; to assist our residents in achieving their highest possible level of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual potential, always working to protect and enhance dignity; and to seek to continually improve the services we provide.

Paul Hardy, President of St. Agnes Healthcare, is truly grateful for his family. He grew up in Cecilia, Louisiana. The namesake of St. Agnes Healthcare is his mother, Agnes Angelle Hardy, a former resident of St. Agnes Healthcare.

The picture to the left shows Paul parents, Florent Hardy, Sr. and Agnes Angelle Hardy. They resided together in the nursing home for over three years.

The picture to the right shows Paul's brother Florent "Pon" Hardy, Jr., his mother, on her 100th birthday, his sister, Mary Agnes Hardy de la Housaye Belleau and Paul.

The occasion was the 100th birthday celebration of his mother on November 26, 2004, at the Hardy home in Cecilia. That was three years before she left us to meet Dad in heaven.
